  2. 2021 Fundraising Efforts

  3. Total raised: $27,104.36

  4. Gas utility to residence

  5. To be discussed at a later date, Rick Brennan not present

  6. Garage doors to be serviced

  7. Yearly maintenance to be scheduled with installation company

  8. Sales tax exemption

  9. Thomas Barefoot working on exemption forms for equipment purchases

  10. Liability insurance

  11. Board insurance for the 2022 year: $683, working with Skyrmes Insurance Group

  12. Liability insurance for the 2022 year: TBA, working with Lloyd Insurance Group

  13. Interment Ledger

  14. 2021 committals have been added to a digital version of the ledger to keep all information

  15. Appell Restoration Workshop

  16. Ellis Michaels has suggested adding our name to host a gravestone restoration workshop run by the world renowned restoration expert, Jonathon Appell, who is planning a 48 State Tour. The application was received by Mr. Appell's group, and we are awaiting a decision.

  17. Boy Scout Project

  18. Project to beautify the Soldiers Memorial has been formally approved by Boy Scouts of America. We are hoping to have the project completed by Memorial Day 2022.

  19. Soldiers Circle

  20. 3 additional stones have been received and will be installed once weather conditions improve.

  21. Budget Review for 2022

  22. 2021 budget totaled at $11,280

  23. 2022 budget is estimated at $13,300

  24. Detached roof is leaking, estimates are tentatively set between $5,000 - $7,500.

  25. Vote to authorize sale of plots in newly proposed section

  26. Unanimous vote yes; contract and deed are being written and reviewed by an attorney

  27. Proposed section will be in Annex section, under disintegrating hillside roadway. Roadway will slowly be removed as burials progress. This elimination of this road will not impact driving throughout the cemetery.

  28. Discussion of creating a Sexton position

  29. This position will act as a liaison between families seeking to schedule a committal service, grounds crew, and Board administration. No formal decision has yet been made on creation of this position.

  30. Fundraising appeal for 2022

  31. Ideas for different fundraising activities and events are being curated. We will discuss further in February to finalize plans.
